Exploring the Views of Dermatologists, General Practitioners, and Melanographers on the Use of AI Tools in the Context of Good Decision-Making When Detecting Melanoma: Qualitative Interview Study

In countries with high prevalence rates of melanoma, such as Australia and New Zealand [19], skin cancer diagnosis is conducted by dermatologists and GPs, (including those with a special interest in skin cancer), and screening may be conducted by other clinicians such as melanographers (skin imaging technicians who often have a background in nursing).

Prevalence of Antibiotic Prescribing for Acute Respiratory Tract Infection in Telehealth Versus Face-to-Face Consultations: Cross-Sectional Analysis of General Practice Registrars’ Clinical Practice

Prevalence of Antibiotic Prescribing for Acute Respiratory Tract Infection in Telehealth Versus Face-to-Face Consultations: Cross-Sectional Analysis of General Practice Registrars’ Clinical Practice

The majority of antibiotics in Australia are prescribed in general practice (family practice). Inappropriate prescribing of antibiotics in outpatient settings, especially in primary care or general practice, is a major driver of antimicrobial resistance [3]. Therefore, antibiotic stewardship in general practice is vital. In 2022, overall 36.6% of Australians were prescribed at least one antibiotic in the community [2].

Assessing Digital Maturity of Hospitals: Viewpoint Comparing National Approaches in Five Countries

Assessing Digital Maturity of Hospitals: Viewpoint Comparing National Approaches in Five Countries

Each of the included countries (Australia [Queensland], Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, and Scotland) has a unique health care system shaped by different policies, regulations, and funding mechanisms. Comparing digital maturity across these varied systems, allowed us to gain insights into how different approaches to health care administration impact the adoption and implementation of digital technologies.

Screening Workers for Occupational Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica: Development and Usability of an Electronic Data Capture Tool

Screening Workers for Occupational Exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica: Development and Usability of an Electronic Data Capture Tool

Subsequently, a number of cases of artificial stone-associated silicosis were diagnosed in Australia [3,13]. AS has a very high crystalline silica content, often over 90% [14]. Processing AS by drilling, polishing, cutting, or grinding generates fine particles of dust containing RCS, which can cause silicosis when inhaled [15].

Evaluation of an Interdisciplinary Educational Program to Foster Learning Health Systems: Education Evaluation

Compared to previous publications on LHS education programs, we are contributing novel insights to this literature through new perspectives based on our location (ie, Australia), the health system data infrastructure (ie, recent electronic medical record [EMR] implementations and digital immaturity), and our participants (ie, diverse interprofessionals). While we have had early successes, we also wish to highlight the obstacles we encountered and how we refined our approach in response.
