Creating Custom Immersive 360-Degree Videos for Use in Clinical and Nonclinical Settings: Tutorial

Creating Custom Immersive 360-Degree Videos for Use in Clinical and Nonclinical Settings: Tutorial

The recommended minimum distance that should be maintained between all activity and the camera to ensure the best result is defined in the camera’s user manual (typically 1.5 m). Finally, if the proprietary software is unable to generate smooth stitch lines, more advanced programs such as Mistika VR (Soluciones Graficas Por Ordenador SL) can be used to improve the final video.

Development of a Search Task Using Immersive Virtual Reality: Proof-of-Concept Study

Development of a Search Task Using Immersive Virtual Reality: Proof-of-Concept Study

The 3 panels show 3 exemplary controller movements (within a 2x2 m space), which represents the participant's hand movement around the participant’s position (grey circle) over the total course of the task. The mean search time in young (mean 1.533, SD 0.342) and elderly (mean 1.694, SD 0.275) participants did not significantly differ (t38.4=1.71, P=.095). There was a significant, strong correlation between the mean search time and neglect severity (ie, the Co C in the SNT; r=0.70, P=.037; [59]).

Can a Novel Web-Based Computer Test Predict Poor Simulated Driving Performance? A Pilot Study With Healthy and Cognitive-Impaired Participants

Can a Novel Web-Based Computer Test Predict Poor Simulated Driving Performance? A Pilot Study With Healthy and Cognitive-Impaired Participants

A virtual scene was projected by three projectors (Ultra-Short focus LCD projectors, Sanyo) with 1024x786 pixel resolution onto three projection screens (1.8 x 1.4 m) that were installed in front of the driver. DS components utilized by the participants were steering wheel, brake and gas pedals, rear and side mirrors, and turn signals (Figure 2). The virtual driving scene consisted of a street with two lanes in each direction in a suburban environment.
