Components of a Digital Storytelling Intervention for Human Papillomavirus and Cancer Prevention Among LGBTQ+ Individuals: Formative Mixed Methods Inquiry

Components of a Digital Storytelling Intervention for Human Papillomavirus and Cancer Prevention Among LGBTQ+ Individuals: Formative Mixed Methods Inquiry

Despite disease prevalence, HPV vaccination uptake has fallen short of 80% of the general population, a goal set forth by Healthy People 2030 [7]. The World Health Organization identified complacency, inconvenience, and lack of confidence as several of the various factors that can influence an individual’s intention to become vaccinated.

Social Media and the Evolution of Vaccine Preferences During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Discrete Choice Experiment

Social Media and the Evolution of Vaccine Preferences During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Discrete Choice Experiment

Vaccination is a vital tool for combating the pandemic, both now and into the future [4]. Despite the clear benefits of vaccination against COVID-19 and other diseases, many people are hesitant or resistant [5-7]. A rapidly emerging body of literature focuses on the characteristics associated with COVID-19 vaccine uptake [7-10].

Immunogenicity of COVID-19 Vaccination in Immunocompromised Patients (Auto-COVID-VACC): Protocol for Multicenter Prospective Noninterventional Study

Immunogenicity of COVID-19 Vaccination in Immunocompromised Patients (Auto-COVID-VACC): Protocol for Multicenter Prospective Noninterventional Study

The German Standing Committee on Vaccination of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has been recommending 3 antigen contacts (infection or vaccination) to complete basic immunization, of which at least one should be by vaccination. Annual booster recommendations are advised for groups at high risk, such as people with an impaired immune response [16]. COVID-19 vaccination, therefore, represents the mainstay of COVID-19 prevention.

Epidemic Trends and Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Hepatitis B in China: Surveillance Study

Epidemic Trends and Spatial Distribution Characteristics of Hepatitis B in China: Surveillance Study

Since 2007, the incidence rate of hepatitis B decreased, primarily attributed to the neonatal hepatitis B vaccination program that was launched in China in 1992 [18,19]. Furthermore, China has been offering free hepatitis B vaccinations to newborns since 2002, significantly reducing the risk of hepatitis B infection among newborns.

Dermatologic Research in Displaced Populations: Importance, Challenges, and Proposed Solutions

Dermatologic Research in Displaced Populations: Importance, Challenges, and Proposed Solutions

Understanding local rates of communicable conditions is crucial to developing targeted vaccination efforts. The process of displacement itself often forces migrants into extreme conditions, with many forced to travel in small boats [2,3]. A common location of arrival for these vessels is south of the Mediterranean Sea, where skin diseases commonly seen include secondary bacterial infections, scabies, deep abscesses, and tissue necrosis [3].

SEARCH Study: Text Messages and Automated Phone Reminders for HPV Vaccination in Uganda: Randomized Controlled Trial

SEARCH Study: Text Messages and Automated Phone Reminders for HPV Vaccination in Uganda: Randomized Controlled Trial

HPV vaccination is currently recommended in Uganda for adolescent girls aged 9‐14 years in a 2-dose series and as a 3-dose series for those aged 15‐26 years. However, despite high efficacy and a strong safety profile, global HPV vaccination coverage rates remain low compared to other routinely recommended vaccines [11]. Uganda added HPV vaccination to the National Extended Programme on Immunization in November 2015.

CoVimmune COVID-19 Immunity Calculator: Web Application Development and Validation Study

CoVimmune COVID-19 Immunity Calculator: Web Application Development and Validation Study

High levels of anti-SARS-Co V-2 neutralizing antibodies (n Abs) have been shown to be protective against severe SARS-Co V-2 infection [1], but n Abs wane over time following vaccination or infection [2,3]. In addition, n Abs require significant funding and infrastructure to measure and are largely limited to research settings. Serum anti-SARS-Co V-2 immunoglobulin G (Ig G) testing is available in commercial settings at relatively low cost.

Greater Improvements in Vaccination Outcomes Among Black Young Adults With Vaccine-Resistant Attitudes in the United States South Following a Digital Health Intervention: Latent Profile Analysis of a Randomized Control Trial

Greater Improvements in Vaccination Outcomes Among Black Young Adults With Vaccine-Resistant Attitudes in the United States South Following a Digital Health Intervention: Latent Profile Analysis of a Randomized Control Trial

Hesitancy toward COVID-19 vaccination was particularly high among Black young adults and residents of the United States South [5,6], which translated into lower uptake of the COVID-19 vaccine and a disproportionately high mortality rate for Black Americans early in the pandemic [7,8]. Negative attitudes toward vaccines and suboptimal vaccination rates among Black Americans have been influenced by a history of medical racism and human rights violations in the United States [9-14].

The Utilization of Electronic Consultations (eConsults) to Address Emerging Questions Related to Long COVID-19 in Ontario, Canada: Mixed Methods Analysis

The five main question categories asked by PCPs were: (1) management of chronic symptoms of COVID-19, (2) need for additional work-up or follow-up testing, (3) community resources to support or manage patients with long COVID, (4) diagnostic clarification, and (5) guidance regarding COVID-19 vaccination (Table 2; sample questions in Multimedia Appendix 2).
