Given these barriers, telemedicine emerges as a pivotal tool to address the challenges of adherence and accessibility. Providing follow-up through telemedicine technologies has been identified as an effective alternative to mitigate barriers to accessing Pr EP dispensing services and, consequently, ensuring the continuity of prevention.

Digital Co CM adapts the traditional Co CM framework to a digital format, leveraging telemedicine platforms to overcome geographical and logistical barriers to care. Unlike traditional Co CM, which relies on in-person care teams embedded in clinics, digital Co CM uses digital tools to facilitate integration and communication between primary care providers, care managers, and consulting psychiatrists.

Studies have demonstrated that telemedicine improves access to migraine care, and that it is associated with favorable outcomes including patient and provider satisfaction [7,8]. Internet or smartphone app-based remote assessment and monitoring of migraine [9,10] may increase the efficiency of care delivery and facilitate telemedicine, electronic [11], and face-to-face visits while delivering migraine educational content.
