A Gamified mHealth App to Promote Physical Activity and Reduce Sedentary Behavior in Autistic Adults: Protocol for a Remotely Delivered Pilot Intervention Study

A Gamified mHealth App to Promote Physical Activity and Reduce Sedentary Behavior in Autistic Adults: Protocol for a Remotely Delivered Pilot Intervention Study

Moreover, evidence [9] categorizes SB as a distinct health risk factor, as prolonged sitting contributes to adverse health outcomes even among those meeting PA guidelines (ie, accumulating ≥150 minutes a week of moderate-to-vigorous PA [MVPA] or ≥75 minutes a week of vigorous aerobic PA) [10]. Physical inactivity and excessive sitting may contribute to the high prevalence of chronic health conditions in autistic adults [4].

Falls Prevention Among Older Adults in Rural Communities: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Falls Prevention Among Older Adults in Rural Communities: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Falls are a substantial public health issue and a leading cause of mortality and morbidity among older adults worldwide [1]. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that every year approximately 684,000 people die from falls [2]. A fall can be defined as an event in which an individual unintentionally comes to rest on the floor [3]. Compared to urban older adults, rural older adults report a higher risk of falls and experience a higher incidence of falls [4].

A Human-Centered Approach for a Student Mental Health and Well-Being Mobile App: Protocol for Development, Implementation, and Evaluation

A Human-Centered Approach for a Student Mental Health and Well-Being Mobile App: Protocol for Development, Implementation, and Evaluation

A recurrent theme across these sessions was the absence of a personalized, regularly updated medium through which students could effectively engage with available university resources. Although a range of services existed, participants emphasized the need for an integrated system to support continuous search, discovery, and engagement.

Intervention for Justice-Involved Homeless Veterans With Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Trial

Intervention for Justice-Involved Homeless Veterans With Co-Occurring Substance Use and Mental Health Disorders: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Hybrid Effectiveness-Implementation Trial

Using a hybrid type 1 effectiveness-implementation design [55], we will test the effectiveness of the MISSION-CJ intervention in a randomized controlled trial (RCT) across 2 large VA health care systems as well as conduct a qualitative evaluation of MISSION-CJ’s implementation.

Chicago Public Health Department Social Media Communications on Twitter During the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Mpox Epidemic: Cross-Sectional Content Analysis

Chicago Public Health Department Social Media Communications on Twitter During the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Mpox Epidemic: Cross-Sectional Content Analysis

On December 15, 2022, X implemented a new policy allowing users to see the number of times a communication was viewed for all communications posted after this date. The number of views received by a communication was collected following this policy change as a means of quantifying public engagement. These data were collected on May 31, 2023, to ensure that at least a month had passed since a communication was posted.

Streamlining a Patchwork - Exploring the Challenges of Digital Transformation in Pathology: Ethnographic Study

Streamlining a Patchwork - Exploring the Challenges of Digital Transformation in Pathology: Ethnographic Study

A key analogue practice in pathology that is now being digitized via whole-slide imaging is diagnosis. This means that, instead of examining tissue samples on glass slides under a microscope, the glass slide is scanned as a high-resolution image, and the digital slide is examined on a computer screen. Digitizing this step can be seen as a paradigm shift in the digital transformation of pathology. It affects the entire pathology workflow [6].

Performance of a Retinal Imaging Camera With On-Device Intelligence for Primary Care: Retrospective Study

Performance of a Retinal Imaging Camera With On-Device Intelligence for Primary Care: Retrospective Study

The VNRC is a nonmydriatic, macula-centered, 45° field imaging retinal camera system that uses a set of proprietary machine learning algorithms to generate high-fidelity composite color posterior chamber images of the eye by capturing and compiling a series of retinal images from each perceived single flash ( The Crystalvue NFC-700 camera [19,20] uses a conventional technique [21] to automatically adjust focus and capture the best quality image using a single annulus type of illumination.

Delivering an Electronic Health Record Based Educational Intervention Promoting Peri-Operative Non-Pharmacological Pain Care as Part of a Randomized Controlled Trial: Mixed Method Evaluation of Inpatient Nurses’ Perspectives

Delivering an Electronic Health Record Based Educational Intervention Promoting Peri-Operative Non-Pharmacological Pain Care as Part of a Randomized Controlled Trial: Mixed Method Evaluation of Inpatient Nurses’ Perspectives

These 7 questions were rated on a 10-point numeric rating scale, and participants were provided the anchors, 1=not at all, 10=a great deal. Participants could also select "unable to assess" as a response. Survey items were generated by members of the study team (including nursing professionals, a researcher, and physicians), whose experience helping implement the intervention informed key questions for nursing leadership to assess how implementation was going.

Impact of the Exposome in Type 1 Diabetes: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Impact of the Exposome in Type 1 Diabetes: Protocol for a Scoping Review

Such a comprehensive understanding is essential for the identification of new strategies for disease prevention and management. Conducting a scoping review is well-suited for this broad research question, as it allows for an exhaustive exploration, particularly for a fragmented research area. Unlike systematic reviews, scoping reviews map existing knowledge, identify research gaps, and comprehensively synthesize the available evidence [27-29].
