Similar Outcomes of Web-Based and Face-to-Face Training of the GRADE Approach for the Certainty of Evidence: Randomized Controlled Trial

Similar Outcomes of Web-Based and Face-to-Face Training of the GRADE Approach for the Certainty of Evidence: Randomized Controlled Trial

GRADE is not the first nor the only approach for assessing the certainty of evidence and assigning the strength of recommendations. It is, however, the approach used in Cochrane systematic reviews and many clinical practice guidelines. The GRADE approach includes a Summary of Findings (So F) table to make the process of judging evidence and translating it into a recommendation more accessible for a broader audience, primarily for end users—clinicians, patients, and policy makers.

Digital Biomarker–Based Interventions: Systematic Review of Systematic Reviews

Digital Biomarker–Based Interventions: Systematic Review of Systematic Reviews

Among the several methods for assessing the quality of evidence [20], the GRADE (Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluations) approach is used most commonly in systematic reviews, health technology assessments, and treatment guidelines [19]. GRADE classifies the quality of evidence into 4 categories from high to very poor [19]. However, poor reporting may limit the assessment of the quality of the evidence presented in systematic reviews.

The State of Evidence in Patient Portals: Umbrella Review

The State of Evidence in Patient Portals: Umbrella Review

For this purpose, we developed meta-level umbrella review tools, GRADE-UR (Grading of Strength of Evidence for Quantitative Research at the Level of an Umbrella Review) and CERQual-UR (Grading of Confidence in the Evidence of Qualitative Research at the Level of an Umbrella Review), by applying a voting-counting method [38] and adapting GRADE [39-41] and CERQual [42-44] SR evaluation tools. The methodological approach was conceptualized independent from the GRADE working group.

Use of Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation to Combat Fake News: A Case Study of Influenza Vaccination in Pregnancy

Use of Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation to Combat Fake News: A Case Study of Influenza Vaccination in Pregnancy

The Grading of Recommendations, Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) framework is a validated evaluation tool used to assess the quality of scientific publications. GRADE was developed by an international group of health professionals, researchers, and guideline developers to standardize the evaluation process of publications [1].
