Effectiveness of an Innovative Mobile-Based Perioperative Care Program for Women Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery (iCareBreast): Randomized Controlled Trial

Effectiveness of an Innovative Mobile-Based Perioperative Care Program for Women Undergoing Breast Cancer Surgery (iCareBreast): Randomized Controlled Trial

Given the high prevalence of breast cancer, increasing survival rates, and the cancer impact on psychological well-being and HR-Qo L, various psychosocial interventions have been developed to support women in coping with the illness. Evidence suggests that effective psychosocial interventions can reduce psychological distress and facilitate adjustment by enhancing cancer-related knowledge, coping skills, and emotional expression [16].

Exploring Psychosocial Burdens of Diabetes in Pregnancy and the Feasibility of Technology-Based Support: Qualitative Study

However, there is less evidence about the experience and management of potential psychosocial burdens of DM during pregnancy. Psychosocial factors related to DM diagnoses encompass the environmental, social, behavioral, and emotional elements that can affect long-term care.

Psychological eHealth Interventions for Patients With Cardiovascular Diseases: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Psychological eHealth Interventions for Patients With Cardiovascular Diseases: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Specific areas such as psychoeducation [33,35] or the psychosocial aspects of implantable cardioverter defibrillators [38] were the focus of some interventions. Additionally, certain programs integrated additional therapeutic methods, including interpersonal therapy [37] or mindfulness [24]. The interventions used a variety of platforms, from multimedia supports to telemonitoring devices and expert systems for automated guidance.

Intermediary and social determinants include material circumstances (eg, access to tablets or the internet and food security), behavioral, and biological factors (eg, taking medications), psychosocial factors (eg, technology literacy), and the health care system (access to care).

Understanding the Association Between Home Broadband Connection and Well-Being Among Middle-Aged and Older Adults in China: Nationally Representative Panel Data Study

Understanding the Association Between Home Broadband Connection and Well-Being Among Middle-Aged and Older Adults in China: Nationally Representative Panel Data Study

However, we are not aware of any recently published research on home broadband connection and its impact on the well-being and psychosocial outcomes among older people. This gap is critical for 3 reasons. First, broadband availability is associated with greater frequency of internet use and more engagement with internet activities [10]. Second, older adults showed higher preferences for home care [30].

Diabetes Medical Group Visits and Type 2 Diabetes Outcomes: Mediation Analysis of Diabetes Distress

Diabetes Medical Group Visits and Type 2 Diabetes Outcomes: Mediation Analysis of Diabetes Distress

A 2017 position paper from the American Diabetes Association recommended routine screening and integration of psychosocial care, considering emotional status and presence of a social support network, to improve the treatment course of those living with T2 DM [9,16]. Identifying scalable approaches that address both the physical and mental health needs of those living with diabetes is a high priority. Emerging research has shown that group-based diabetes care can lead to positive health outcomes.

Abrahão et al [18] explored CTE barriers from the perspectives of physicians and AYA patients using individual interviews and found that poor understanding of clinical trials, financial issues, and psychosocial problems were the greatest obstacles to CTE for AYAs.

Early psychosocial interventions may help individuals with ADRDs and their care partners adjust to challenges and plan collaboratively for the future, which can alleviate distress and maintain overall relationship quality and well-being [8]. Existing interventions for early or moderate-stage ADRDs primarily target family care partners, and several interventions demonstrate lasting improvements in depression symptoms and quality of life [5].

For example, to promote social distancing, methadone clinics implemented systems of “take home” doses for all clients and eliminated the requirement for psychosocial groups [34]. Lifting rules which required clients to come in person each day to receive methadone and participate in groups may have facilitated access to the medication for some, while jeopardizing the recovery of those who relied on program structure and group support.

Designing Positive Psychology Interventions for Social Media: Cross-Sectional Web-Based Experiment With Young Adults With Cancer

Designing Positive Psychology Interventions for Social Media: Cross-Sectional Web-Based Experiment With Young Adults With Cancer

Young adults (ages 18‐39 years) with cancer need tailored interventions to improve their psychosocial health. Young adults who receive any cancer diagnosis often struggle with poor psychosocial health [1,2], more than non-cancer peers [3-5]. Young adults with cancer experience social isolation that is made worse by debilitating life disruptions (eg, extended school and work absences [6-9]) throughout the cancer experience and into survivorship [10,11].
