Identifying Substance Use and High-Risk Sexual Behavior Among Sexual and Gender Minority Youth by Using Mobile Phone Data: Development and Validation Study

Mobile- and e Health-based interventions could improve the accessibility of interventions, as they have potential to overcome many of these treatment barriers (eg, overcoming the stigma of receiving substance use treatment by using the e Health intervention from the privacy of one’s home). Mobile and e Health interventions may also open new opportunities for personalization through increased availability of data about participants.

Second, PPs typically contain health-related information from a single healthcare provider or organization, while PHRs can aggregate information from multiple health care entities and various e Health technologies [9,10]. Because guidance skills, time, and input could influence outcomes [15,19], educational activities regarding e Health, patient perceptions, and liability are considered necessary before using a new blended care intervention [18]. E-nerg EYEze was designed in collaboration with all stakeholders (ie, patients, professionals, and researchers in low vision, fatigue, and e Health).

Guideline-Based Digital Exercise Interventions for Reducing Body Weight and Fat and Promoting Physical Activity in Adults With Overweight and Obesity: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Guideline-Based Digital Exercise Interventions for Reducing Body Weight and Fat and Promoting Physical Activity in Adults With Overweight and Obesity: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Results from a systematic review [66] indicate that e Health interventions are generally more effective than no care or usual care interventions, aligning with this meta-analysis, which found a significant average BW loss of approximately 1.17 kg associated with digital exercise interventions. This effect remained significant when compared to active (nondigital) control interventions (MD=−1.23 kg), suggesting that digital platforms may have advantages over traditional, face-to-face programs.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the term “e Health” focuses on using information and communication technologies in health care, while “digital health” serves as a broader umbrella term that also encompasses advanced computer sciences such as artificial intelligence. Furthermore, the term “m Health,” a subset of e Health, is defined as “the use of mobile wireless technologies for health” [2].
