Quality and Misinformation About Health Conditions in Online Peer Support Groups: Scoping Review
In addition, an understanding of the quality appraisal methods is important, as they serve as potential moderators of the quality of information and advice provided.
The objective of this scoping review was to map and summarize evidence about the quality of information and advice in online peer support groups across a range of health conditions and to review the available tools used to assess the quality of such information and advice.

Respondents were asked whether they would return to a given activity if the restrictions on doing so were lifted on the advice of public health officials (response options: yes or no). Individuals who reported that they “would not have done this activity before the COVID-19 pandemic” for a given activity were excluded from further analyses.
