Knowledge Mapping and Global Trends in the Field of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination: Bibliometric and Visual Analysis (2004-2023)

Knowledge Mapping and Global Trends in the Field of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination: Bibliometric and Visual Analysis (2004-2023)

By applying quantitative methods to scholarly publications, bibliometric analysis offers a unique opportunity to uncover hidden patterns, elucidate research trajectories, and forecast future directions in OSCE research. Building on this rationale, our study aims to bridge these gaps by conducting a bibliometric analysis of OSCE literature from 2004 to 2023.

Additionally, the passing score for the pre-CC OSCE has not been disclosed. Pre-CC OSCE and LLMs-educational interventions. (A) Summary evaluation (maximum of 6 points, minimum of 1 point on a scale of 1-6). (B) Total score evaluation (maximum 31 points, minimum 0 points graded). Data were analyzed using the Mann-Whitney U test. LLM: large language model; pre-CC OSCE: Pre-Clinical Clerkship Objective Structured Clinical Examination.

Development of a Novel Web-Based Tool to Enhance Clinical Skills in Medical Education

Development of a Novel Web-Based Tool to Enhance Clinical Skills in Medical Education

The resources available to medical students for OSCE preparation and the real-world clinical setting are few and far between. Although such resources exist, they are limited by one or more factors. One of the biggest limitations for existing OSCE resources is that they are not specific to the MCC objectives, thus restricting their use in a Canadian medical education setting.

Virtual and Interprofessional Objective Structured Clinical Examination in Dentistry and Dental Technology: Development and User Evaluations

Virtual and Interprofessional Objective Structured Clinical Examination in Dentistry and Dental Technology: Development and User Evaluations

OSCE has been widely adopted as a summative assessment in the medical undergraduate curriculum and is universally accepted as the gold standard for assessing clinical competence in dental education [22,23]; furthermore, its effectiveness has been confirmed by several studies [24-26]. On the basis of the extensive application of OSCE, the interprofessional OSCE (i OSCE) was initially developed to simulate IPCP [27].

Preliminary User Evaluation of a New Dental Technology Virtual Simulation System: Development and Validation Study

The Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is a widely used strategy for the stomatology professional certification practical examination worldwide. Dental institutes in various countries, including China, use OSCEs for formative and summative assessments of students’ clinical competence [10-12].

Evaluation of Online Near-Peer Teaching for Penultimate-Year Objective Structured Clinical Examinations in the COVID-19 Era: Longitudinal Study

It incorporated reminders to include disclaimers, keep the presentations under 30 minutes, have them completed by a particular date before being sent for quality assurance by the head of clinical teaching, and include an OSCE practice scenario at the end of their presentations to contextualize the taught content. This ensured session standardization and OSCE relevance.

Immersive Virtual Reality for the Reduction of State Anxiety in Clinical Interview Exams: Prospective Cohort Study

Immersive Virtual Reality for the Reduction of State Anxiety in Clinical Interview Exams: Prospective Cohort Study

This investigation was designed to answer the following research questions: Does immersive VR simulation of a clinical practical exam (ie, OSCE) effectively reduce state anxiety in OT students when compared to a control group? How is academic self-efficacy influenced by exposure to a VR simulation of an OSCE?

The Ecofisio Mobile App for Assessment and Diagnosis Using Ultrasound Imaging for Undergraduate Health Science Students: Multicenter Randomized Controlled Trial

Participants’ theoretical knowledge was assessed and they were also assessed by means of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE). The participants were recruited via a public announcement at both universities. All students signed an informed consent form to participate in this study.
