Hospital Use of a Web-Based Clinical Knowledge Support System and In-Training Examination Performance Among Postgraduate Resident Physicians in Japan: Nationwide Observational Study

Hospital use logs were used because residents have several opportunities to acquire second-hand knowledge from their supervisors, reflecting the evidence-based medicine (EBM) culture of teaching hospitals. The introduction of clinical knowledge support systems has recently increased among resident and senior doctors, although the frequency of use is low because of language barriers and is far from the global standard [9]. The postgraduate 2-year residency system was established in 2004 in Japan.
