Digital Problem-Based Learning in Health Professions: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis by the Digital Health Education Collaboration

PBL aims to foster a wide range of skills such as communication and collaboration skills, decision making, problem solving, critical thinking, and self-directed learning [2]. In PBL, the use of real, ill-structured problems provides a context for the development of students’ knowledge and skills [3]. Learning in PBL is student centered and occurs in small collaborative groups while teachers take on the role of tutors.
