Electronic Health Literacy Across the Lifespan: Measurement Invariance Study

Stellefson and colleagues [55] examined the factor structure of e HEALS scores among Baby Boomers and Silent Generation members during a telephone interview and found that Item 3 (ie, “I have the skills I need to evaluate the health resources I find on the Internet”) significantly loaded on both Factor 2 and Factor 3. In that study, Factor 2 included items related to knowing how to use and find helpful health information on the Internet to make informed health decisions.
