Web-Based Skin Cancer Prevention Training for Massage Therapists: Protocol for the Massage Therapists Skin Health Awareness, Referral, and Education Study

To successfully complete the training, MTs must meet a minimum level of competence—selection of a response path that is within a specified range of the ideal interaction path (eg, appropriate MT response during a helping conversation when a client is open to a discussion about skin cancer risk reduction behavior vs a different MT response if the client is resistant to discussion). We developed 5 case simulations for participants to complete following the 6 training modules. Decision path template.
