Another report by Nguyen concerned capacity improvement courses for lower-level injury in emergency facilities, which were conducted in 2016 with 220 medical staff [38]. The number of trainees with good first aid/trauma skills also increased markedly after completing these courses. The percentage of trainees who had good performance was over 80%. Therefore, the number of patients who needed to be transferred to a higher-level hospital subsequently decreased significantly.
