All statistical analyses were conducted in the ISO27001-certified Secure Enclave environment at Imperial College London using R (version 4.1.2). The CLOCS was reviewed and approved by the North West-Greater Manchester South Research Ethics Committee (19/NW/0427). Explicit consent for the research team to request loyalty card data from participating retailers and to take part in the study was given from all participants. As of January 31, 2022, 182 cases and 441 controls consented to take part in the CLOCS.
