Mandatory Vaccination Against COVID-19: Twitter Poll Analysis on Public Health Opinion

Mandatory Vaccination Against COVID-19: Twitter Poll Analysis on Public Health Opinion

Vaccination coverage rates largely depend on a country’s wealth and other factors that influence the vaccination behavior of a country’s citizens. As a result, SARS-Co V-2 variants continue to emerge, triggering disease episodes and slowing or even reversing the reopening of societies and economies [13].

Readiness to Embrace Artificial Intelligence Among Medical Doctors and Students: Questionnaire-Based Study

only 6% (out of a sample of 669 participants) of physicians and physicians in training in Seoul answered positively [13]. In another recent study, French medical experts reported that artificial intelligence is a “fuzzy notion” [2]. To evaluate the amount of empirical evidence collected regarding medical doctors’ (MDs) and medical students’ (MSs) level of understanding toward AIM, we conducted a systematic literature research.

Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Children and Adolescents Taking Atypical Antipsychotic Medications: Protocol for a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in Children and Adolescents Taking Atypical Antipsychotic Medications: Protocol for a Systematic Review and Meta-analysis

With the decreased incidence of typical psychotic use in children and adolescents it is reasonable to speculate that children on AAP may be at a greater risk of disorders associated with metabolic syndrome, including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) [6-9]. NAFLD in children and adolescents younger than 18 years is the most common cause of pediatric liver disease, with a prevalence of approximately 9.6% [10].

Medical and Health-Related Misinformation on Social Media: Bibliometric Study of the Scientific Literature

With the rise of participatory web and social media [1] and particularly in the face of recent pandemics, such as the H1 N1 influenza pandemic in 2009 and the COVID-19 pandemic [2], the internet plays a major role in information sharing. The general public no longer acts as a passive consumer but plays a critical role in the generation, filtering, and amplification of public health information [1].

Relevance of Anthropometric Measurements in a Multiethnic Obesity Cohort: Observational Study

Relevance of Anthropometric Measurements in a Multiethnic Obesity Cohort: Observational Study

There is a paralleled increase in the incidence of metabolic-related conditions, particularly type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) [2]. Although BMI is the most used measure to classify at-risk individuals and to assign treatments, it does not reflect abdominal obesity, which is a surrogate marker for visceral adiposity. Visceral adiposity is a strong predictor of cardiovascular [3] and metabolic risk [3].
