Using a 360° Virtual Reality or 2D Video to Learn History Taking and Physical Examination Skills for Undergraduate Medical Students: Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial

History taking and physical examination (H&P) is a principal competency, incorporating knowledge, skills, and behavior to initially approach a patient. Therefore, H&P is a key performance level of otorhinolaryngology–head and neck surgery (ORL-HNS) [6]. To enhance the development of H&P skills, commonly used methods to assess this competency include in-training examinations such as the Milestone [7], Mini Clinical Evaluation Exercise [8], and oral examinations of clinical practice [9].
