A Weighted Voting Approach for Traditional Chinese Medicine Formula Classification Using Large Language Models: Algorithm Development and Validation Study

TCM formula “Yiweitang or Yiwei decoction (YWD)” consists of Chinese herbs: Bei Sha Shen, Mai Dong, Bing Tang, Di Huang, and Yu Zhu. The indications for treatment are stomach yin injury syndrome. Symptoms include a burning and dull pain in the stomach, lack of appetite despite hunger, dry mouth and throat, dry and hard stool, dry retching, and hiccups. The existing classification of YWD is antidryness formula.
