Measuring Mental Health in 2 Brazilian University Centers: Protocol for a Cohort Survey
CISM aims to study and expand, over the next 10 years, knowledge about mental health conditions in the State of São Paulo, the biggest one in Brazil.
All undergraduate students enrolled at Uni FAJ and Uni MAX will be invited to participate annually. Invitations will be sent via email, providing a brief explanation of this study’s objectives and encouraging participation through the electronic survey link.
We have devised several strategies aimed at maximizing participation.

We obtained GT data on January 13, 2020, as already described by Sousa-Pinto et al [19]. In brief, we retrieved country-level GT on rhinovirus-related search terms for 5 years (between 2012 and 2016) in Portugal, Spain, and Brazil: 5 years is the maximum amount of time for which GT displays data on a weekly level.

We followed a methodology for translating, adapting, and validating instruments proposed by Sousa and Rojjanasrirat [49]—a 7-step guideline based on the review of existing recommendations in the scientific literature on the process of translation, cultural adaptation, and validation of instruments for use in cross-cultural health care (Figure 1).
Steps of the protocol followed for translating, cultural adapting, and validating the e Health Literacy Scale (e HEALS). a: N/A: not applicable..
