Perotti et al [39] evaluated an e-learning to promote PHR competence and found how e-learning enhanced knowledge of PHRs, skill acquisition to use PHRs, and improved task completion. PHR providers are encouraged to develop and provide a publicly accessible e-learning for PHR users [39].

The study was approved by the UCLA Institutional Review Board (#21‐000705), and the Clinical Trials.gov registry number was NCT0498465. Written informed consent was obtained. The privacy and confidentiality of research participants’ data and identity were maintained. Participants were compensated with US $25 Amazon gift cards.
