But I think the reason that I feel very comfortable has to do with the patients: who I see and who I won’t see on telemedicine. So again, doing this is like a philosophical thing. I’m a big believer in getting people to the right place. And a lot of times that’s me and a lot of times that’s not me when it comes to mental health and telehealth, I try to, there are things that I, I don’t personally feel comfortable or think would be appropriate to, to treat.

Telemedicine Prescribing by US Mental Health Care Providers: National Cross-Sectional Survey

Demographic characteristics of the participants are summarized in Table 2 and Figure 1. The participants were largely White, non-Hispanic, and female, with a mean age of 51.2 (SD 12.4) years and primarily physicians and advanced practice nurses in smaller-sized practices. The most common specialties were psychiatry or psychiatry specialties. However, 28 (24.3%) indicated nonpsychiatry specialties.
