Current Technological Advances in Dysphagia Screening: Systematic Scoping Review
Li et al [68] conducted a narrative review of the acoustic theory foundation and applications for monitoring swallowing sound. We found additional modalities in our review, such as nasal airflow, EMG, and biomotion measured using piezoresistive sensors, providing a broader perspective. Another narrative review by Wu et al [73] provided a comprehensive overview on different noninvasive sensors for swallowing assessments.
