Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic and the 2021 National Institute for Health and Care Excellence Guidelines on Public Perspectives Toward Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: Thematic and Sentiment Analysis on Twitter (Rebranded as X)

December 11, 2019, was chosen as the last day of the pre–COVID-19 period as the first report of the SARS-Co V-2 virus was on December 12, 2019 [25]. Similarly, October 28, 2021, was chosen as the first day to begin collecting tweets for the post-UK 2021 NICE guidelines publication dataset because the new guidelines were originally announced on that day, although they were officially published on October 29, 2021 [26].

Systematic Identification of Caregivers of Patients Living With Dementia in the Electronic Health Record: Known Contacts and Natural Language Processing Cohort Study

We flagged matching first names and matching first-last name pairs. To confirm this matching methodology and validate the data, 2 study team members (JDP and AED) looked at a random sample of 100 notes to manually identify caregivers. Half of the validation notes came from unstructured text where the matching algorithm identified the name of a known contact and half came from unstructured text where no known contact was identified by the algorithm.

Applying Patient and Health Professional Preferences in Co-Designing a Digital Brief Intervention to Reduce the Risk of Prescription Opioid–Related Harm Among Patients With Chronic Noncancer Pain: Qualitative Analysis

Focusing on opioid use in the past 30 days (as noted in the COMM) was viewed as restrictive: This is all in the past 30 days, yet it says holistic there [on whiteboard], peoples pain experience, you know a holistic pain experience isn’t just in the last 30 days it’s in the last years...people have ups and downs, you might have had a really great 30 days. It doesn’t really represent somebody’s holistic pain experience.
