Glycated albumin was analyzed in serum at the UConn Health Clinical Research Center using a kit from My Bio Source Inc, San Diego, California. The assay has a range of 0.626‐20 mg/m L, with a sensitivity of 0.1 mg/m L. Intra- and interassay CVs are less than 15%.
Hb A1c was measured in the UConn clinical laboratory using high pressure liquid chromatography.
