Empowering Patients and Caregivers to Use Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision for Wound Monitoring: Nonrandomized, Single-Arm Feasibility Study

Empowering Patients and Caregivers to Use Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision for Wound Monitoring: Nonrandomized, Single-Arm Feasibility Study

These findings suggest that the use of the Patient Connect app for participants may have supported engagement with monitoring wound healing, which may have influenced better healing outcomes across the diverse wound types. It is recognized, however, that factors such as standard wound care practices, clinical interventions, and individual patient conditions may have influenced the results. Clinical decisions within wound care may be delayed without adequate history.

Global Surveillance of Public Interest in Cosmetic Tourism for Aesthetic Eyelid Surgery Abroad: Cross-Sectional Infodemiology Investigation of Internet Search Trends and Social Media Content

A quarter of international eyelid surgeons offered medical tourism vacation packages, involving substantial upfront financial commitments that may pressure patients to proceed with surgery. Cosmetic tourists may also encounter a lack of language concordance, psychological stress from traveling and recovering alone, inadequate follow-up, limited legal recourse, and surgical complications including perioperative fatalities [1-3].

Unlocking the Potential of Wear Time of a Wearable Device to Enhance Postpartum Depression Screening and Detection: Cross-Sectional Study

Virtual Reality for the Prevention and Cessation of Nicotine Vaping in Youths: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Virtual Reality for the Prevention and Cessation of Nicotine Vaping in Youths: Protocol for a Randomized Controlled Trial

Players identify their personal goals (how they envision their future selves) by grabbing and placing them on a vision board, and then they learn how vaping may hinder those goals because a vape cloud appears and moves around the board with increasing speed, attempting to remove the goals. Players must use a spray hose to remove the vape cloud before it erases their goals, and then they must grab and quickly replace the goals that have been destroyed.

Food Access in New York City During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Social Media Monitoring Study

Food Access in New York City During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Social Media Monitoring Study

The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic only exacerbated these issues as New York City officials reported that “2 million or more” residents faced food insecurity in May 2020 [7]. This was especially acute among Black people, Indigenous people, and other racial and ethnic minorities [8]. While New York City worked quickly to feed hungry residents, existing infrastructure was not equipped to meet this overwhelming need, and many residents still struggled for basic needs [9,10].

Online Health Information–Seeking Behaviors Among the Chongqing Population: Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

Online Health Information–Seeking Behaviors Among the Chongqing Population: Cross-Sectional Questionnaire Study

How to provide more high-quality health information on the web may be a key objective for public health policies and practices in Chongqing. In this study, younger participants were more likely to seek health information on the web than older participants. Similar results were also reported in some previous studies [22,30,33,34]. IT, including health IT, is usually accessible for younger generations [35]. Therefore, younger populations may more frequently seek health information on the internet.

Accuracy of Large Language Models When Answering Clinical Research Questions: Systematic Review and Network Meta-Analysis

Another study noted that the role of LLMs in health care may be limited by the presence of bias in training materials, their tendency to “hallucinate,” and ethical and legal considerations when LLMs provide inaccurate advice that leads to patient harm, as well as patient privacy issues [6].
