Facial expressions will be analyzed using i Motion software (i Motions A/S).
The electrocardiography signal will be recorded using electrodes placed on the participant’s chest. Heart rate and R-R intervals will be extracted from the electrocardiography data using an in-house script developed in MATLAB (2016b, The Math Works, Inc). The time-domain HRV metrics will include the mean R-R interval, the SD of R-R interval, and the root-mean-square of successive differences.

Hand Motion Control Ability Between Young and Older Adults: Comparative Study
One full rotation includes 180° in each direction (total 360°), measured over 30 frames (~0.03 s per frame).
Experiment setting. This figure shows the experimental setup for the comparative study on hand movement control abilities between younger and older adults. In the experiment, participants sat facing the webcam, and upon the appearance of a "recording" sign on the screen, they were instructed to perform hand rotation movements with both hands as quickly and accurately as possible for 10 seconds.

In Equation 4, N is the total number of measured time data, S is the number of data per day, and x-his the hourly mean. The numerator represents the squared deviations of the hourly means from the overall mean, whereas the denominator reflects the total variance of the entire series. As the ratio of these 2 terms increases, the IS value becomes larger, and activity patterns that recur at identical clock times on successive days yield higher IS values.
