Hearing thresholds were measured using an audiometer (Med Rx Avant A2 D+ Audiometer, Med Rx Inc) fitted with Telephonics TDH-39 supra-aural air-conduction transducers, 3 M E-A-RTONE 5 A insert earphone transducers, and Radioear B-81 bone-conduction transducer.
The BCD was a prototype (model G18) produced in collaboration by Hear Glue Ear and Raspberry Pi [24], paired via Bluetooth with an Alead Live MIC2 Bluetooth Wireless Microphone (model A2 DP; Alead Inc).

Participant-night level (E) scratch frequency and (F) scratch duration by peak nighttime itch NRS obtained via the Atopic Dermatitis Itch Scale morning administration within the AD cohort only. Box plots show the IQR of the distribution. Bold horizontal lines within the box show the median. Whiskers show the maximum and minimum values after excluding any outliers.
